SCAD Fashion 2012
An unseasonably cool May evening in Savannah set the stage for what could be a promising fall outlook in fashion. Over 20 SCAD seniors showcased their talents in womenswear, menswear and kids. The standouts included laser-cut leather in simple and polished silhouettes to the sporty use of neoprene worn comfortably on dry land.
André Leon Talley presented the lifetime achievement award to Ralph Rucci, American couturier. The photos are a highlight of the evening’s event and do no justice to the true talent exhibited that night.
Coming soon…
Since I started teaching at the Savannah College of Art and Design my priorities have shifted to focus on the education of my students. Four months and counting, the experience has been intense and fulfilling. Though Qu’est-ce que (QCQ) have taken a backseat to my students some upcoming events and a slightly less frantic schedule will allow me to share some new and wonderful experiences. Stay tuned! The highlight will be the annual SCAD fashion show featuring student talent and vision.
